I am an aspiring novelist, vagabond, and journalist. After spending three months working in Lesvos with refugees last year, I came back to the US to spread the word and make some money. I did that, and now I’m back in Europe. This trip is a combination of visiting and volunteering. I’ll be seeing friends, traveling a bit, and ultimately ending up back in Greece, where I will do my best to help out however I can.

A quick note: People keep asking me whether they can share the link to this blog. Yes, absolutely! Please do! Share it with friends, family, colleagues, kids in the library, and anyone you think would be interested. It is a public blog and anything I post here is for public consumption. I write because I love writing, I want to share my experiences and views with the world, and because I believe that what I am doing is important. Please help spread awareness about the ongoing refugee crisis, either by spreading this blog or doing further research. Never hesitate to ask questions! I will always try to answer, or if I don’t feel confident in my own knowledge I will direct you to someone who can help.
